Manuscript Types

Journal of Future Education publishes scholarly work that advances understanding of education in a changing world. The journal welcomes original research, conceptual development, and critical analysis addressing educational innovation, emerging challenges, and the future direction of educational theory, policy, and practice.

The following manuscript categories may be considered:

a. Original Research Articles

Reports of empirical studies using quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods approaches. These articles should present a clear research problem, relevant literature, an appropriate methodology, transparent findings, critical discussion, and conclusions supported by the evidence.

b. Conceptual and Theoretical Papers

Articles that develop, compare, integrate, or critically examine theories and conceptual frameworks relevant to future-oriented education. A strong conceptual contribution should go beyond summarising existing literature and offer a clearly reasoned argument, framework, or new perspective.

c. Systematic and Critical Literature Reviews

Evidence-based reviews that synthesise previous studies, identify patterns and disagreements, examine gaps in the literature, and establish directions for further research. Authors should describe their search, selection, appraisal, and synthesis methods in sufficient detail for readers to understand how conclusions were reached.

d. Educational Innovation and Development Studies

Research on the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of learning models, digital learning environments, artificial intelligence applications, educational media, assessment instruments, curriculum innovations, and other educational solutions. The manuscript should explain the development process, evaluation criteria, findings, and limitations.

e. Educational Policy and Management Studies

Studies examining educational governance, institutional leadership, policy implementation, teacher development, educational equity, quality assurance, and the management of educational change. Submissions should demonstrate the relevance of their analysis to educational improvement.

f. STEAM, Sustainability, Character, and Inclusive Education Studies

Research and critical analyses addressing interdisciplinary learning, environmental and sustainable education, character and values education, accessibility, inclusion, educational justice, and human-centred approaches to innovation.

The journal may consider other manuscript forms when they fit its scope and provide a clear scholarly contribution. Acceptance of a manuscript category does not guarantee publication. Editorial decisions depend on relevance, originality, methodological or argumentative quality, ethical compliance, and the value of the contribution.
