Conflict of Interest

Journal of Future Education requires authors, reviewers, and editors to disclose financial, professional, institutional, personal, or other relationships that could influence—or reasonably appear to influence—the research or editorial process.

Authors must disclose relevant funding sources and explain the role of funders in the study design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, manuscript preparation, and publication decision, where applicable. Relevant relationships with technology providers, educational institutions, commercial organisations, or other stakeholders should also be reported.

If no competing interests exist, authors should include a clear declaration such as: “The authors declare no competing interests related to the research, authorship, or publication of this article.”

Reviewers must inform the editor of any relationship or interest that could compromise their independence. They should decline a review when the conflict cannot reasonably be managed.

Editors and editorial staff must not handle submissions in which they have a direct competing interest. Such manuscripts should be assigned to an independent editor who can oversee the review and decision-making process without inappropriate influence.

Disclosure does not automatically disqualify a manuscript. The editor will determine whether additional safeguards or a published disclosure statement are necessary.

Failure to disclose a material competing interest may lead to further inquiry and, where warranted, corrective action. The journal seeks to ensure that editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit rather than personal, financial, or institutional advantage.
