Authorship Criteria

Journal of Future Education considers authorship a matter of scholarly contribution, transparency, and accountability. Every person listed as an author must have made a meaningful intellectual contribution to the work and must be able to take responsibility for their contribution to the published article.

Eligible contributions may include developing the research question, designing the study, constructing a theoretical framework, collecting or analysing data, interpreting findings, developing educational models, or drafting and critically revising the manuscript. Administrative support, general supervision, institutional position, or financial assistance alone does not qualify an individual for authorship.

All listed authors must participate in preparing or substantively revising the manuscript, approve the final version submitted for publication, and agree to be accountable for the accuracy and integrity of the work. Authors should ensure that the order of authorship reflects their agreement and that institutional affiliations are reported accurately.

The corresponding author is responsible for coordinating communication with the editorial office, confirming that all co-authors have approved the submission, and providing complete information about authorship, funding, acknowledgements, and competing interests. The journal may request a contributorship statement when clarification is necessary.

Honorary authorship, gift authorship, ghost authorship, and the deliberate exclusion of eligible contributors are not acceptable. Individuals who have provided limited technical, administrative, or logistical assistance may be acknowledged with their permission.

Requests to add, remove, or rearrange authors after submission must include a clear explanation and written agreement from all affected authors. The editor may investigate disputed authorship and, where appropriate, seek clarification from the relevant institution.

By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that the authorship information is accurate, that the work has not been submitted simultaneously to another journal, and that all listed authors accept responsibility for their contributions.
